NDIS in a Nut Shell
Your budget will be allocated to a combination of Core, Capital and Capacity Building. Core budget is used to provide you with supports for daily living. Capital budgets are for equipment, home/vehicle modifications and SDA. Capacity building links to the goals in your plan and is used to develop independence and skills. Each service has a support line item. The first numerals in that number indicate where the payment for the service will come from. Core items range from 1-4 inclusive. Capital are 5 & 6 and Capacity Building 7 -15. From my table below you can see the core services I provide are house/yard maintenance and food preparation assistance. I provide no capital items and so all other services that I do provide would come from a participants capacity building budget. |
SUPPORT CONNECTION, SUPPORT COORDINATION AND TRAINING IN PLANNING AND PLAN MANAGEMENT
From my table below you can see that I provide all these services. Support Coordination is the most complex of the 3. This involves coordinating each section of your plan, finding providers, identifying your expectations, coaching mentoring, teaching and making sure you are provided with services and a plan to improve your life. Support Connection is a simplified version of the above, where we work together, with you learning and being actively involved....to the point that one day....you can coordinate your own plan ( or keep me on, if you don't need the stress!) In the plan management training, I teach you how to look after the financial side of your plan, how to pay providers, balance your budget and be in control. My degrees and experience in education, training and economics ensure you are looked after by a qualified professional |
